About the Academy Director role at Juventus Academy Bahrain?

Overall responsibility for the management of the football Academy player development programme from age 3 through to age 17 and Advanced teams.

Providing leadership, management and vision necessary to ensure that the academy has the proper operational controls, administrative and reporting procedures, and people systems in place to effectively grow the organisation and to ensure financial strength.

Overseeing the day-to-day administrative and operational functions of a business.

Responsibility for the creation and delivery of a detailed Tactical and Technical Development Plan that is consistent with the ethos of the Academy.

Implementation Juventus Player Development Plan and the playing ethos of Juventus FC.

How does your role contribute to the overall goals at Juventus Academy Bahrain?

Working with the team to empower them to achieve the goals set out, working as a mentor to them with strong clear leadership.

How did you acquire the Academy Director role at Juventus Academy Bahrain?

Promoted from Head Coach.

What typical equipment, tools & technologies do you use to achieve great outcomes in your work?

We have an array of different tools from Microsoft package as well as using new technologies like the Veo camera and GPS tracking. In addition, we have great support from Juventus FC.

What methodologies and standards do you incorporate in your work?

We work with the Juventus SFERA method as for the coaches.

What’s your favourite or go to sports brands for your role in sports?

Adidas

What advice would you give to anyone wanting to be in your role in the future?

Keep calm, be open-minded and don’t resist change.

What are some key successes or personal milestones you’ve achieved in your career?

Having players that I have coached or mentored move into league teams and national teams.

What’s some advice or knowledge you wish you had been aware of earlier in your career?

The Juventus philosophy it really makes you look at coaching in a fresh way.

From your perspective, who are some success stories you look up to and why?

I look at ex-professional players that have gone into coaching and management, it interests me to see how they adapt to their new journey.

What types of roles would you like to be doing in the future during your career?

Next step would be General Manager.

What regions of the world and specific organisations you’d like to be part of during your career?

I’m always open to new exciting projects, wherever it takes me.
