Bio

Sello Maduma is a South African fencer who achieved his national colours in the sport, in 2007 aged 20 – the following year he represented SAat the Beijing Olympics. The 27 year-old has been the country's no.1 ranked fencer since June 2009 (becoming the first black fencer to ever do so), losing his spot in late 2013, but only as a result ofa shoulder op in December of that year. But in true championship style but he bounced back to the summit of the senior national rankings and went on to represent south Africa at various international events.
